vampires and zombies, oh my

Currently reading:

The tomorrow I'll be starting the Harry Potter series, hopefully one a week :)

August

I've not been reading alot lately, or rather I've been reading very slowly. August was my main reading month mainly because I had lots and lots of college work to do and I'm very good at procrastinating.

This is the reading list for August:

Cry Wolf - Patricia Briggs
Bones Crosses - Patricia Briggs
Visions of Heat - Nalini Singh
Silver Borne - Patricia Briggs
The Birthing House - Christopher Ransom
First Drop of Crimson - Jeaniene Frost
Caressed by Ice - Nalini Singh
Mine to Possess - Nalini Singh
Hostage to Pleasure - Nalini Singh
Branded by Fire - Nalini Singh
Blaze of Memory - Nalini - Singh
Archangel's Kiss - Nalini - Singh
Kitty and the Midnight Hour - Carry Vaughn
Kitty goes to Washington - Carry Vaughn
Kitty Takes a Holiday - Carry Vaughn
Kitty and the Silver Bullet - Carry Vaughn
Kitty and the Dead Man's hand - Carry Vaughn

I had to stop reading totally early September because I NEEDED to finish my college project and I only had 2 days to do it; my time management is really poor.

Mercy Thompson Series

I'm almost up to date with this series. Just waiting for the last book to arrive in my letterbox. I've really enjoyed reading them, although I do feel that I've kinda rush read them. The romance was a little slow, and it seemed to stop and start a few times, but that's my only gripe.

I'm craving more from Cat and Bones from the Night Huntress series

moon called

I finished reading moon called Friday and I have to say that I really liked it. The pace felt right and the 'voice' kept me reading, I know that it should be the story that does that but, I dunno, it felt kinda exotic. I can't really explain it but now I'm dying to read the rest. I have to wait for it to be delivered from amazon because my friend didn't have the 2nd book. I'll post the cover once I'm home as I don't know how to do that from my phone.

I also read Slave to Sensation on Saturday. I have to admit that it took my a few attempts to start this one, and I actually had it sat on a shelf for months. After some initial scepticism I actually quite liked it so I will go on to read the rest of the series. Each book is based on a new pairing and I wasn't sure about this at first but I really do need to get over my prejudices.

Skinwalker

Read this at the weekend (I know, I'm so off track with my Austen reading challenge) I struggled the first few pages, but then I really got into the story. I've just got the next book in the series off my friend. I'm going to go read it now :)

Hex Hall

Photobucket

I've just finished reading Hex hall by Rachel Hawkins. I quite liked it to be honest. It was an easy read and sometimes that's just the kind of read I like. Another bonus is that it's short so it was a nice break from the other books I'm reading.

For now

I'm doing this instead of finishing my assignment. Procrastination is the bane of my life.

After my little obsession with Twilight fan fiction (which is now slowly fading) I've returned once again to actual books I can hold in my hand. I've purchased quite a few in the last week or so... so many in fact that I've had to give my debit card to my boyfriend to stop me buying more. That doesn't actually prevent me from buying them though, as I can get hold of more through amazon without actually having my card in my hand. But, so far I haven't bought anymore, but my basket has 18 books in it and save for later has 16. I only have 2 in my wish list because I haven't really used that yet.

The trouble I'm having now is that I'm obsessed with the Georgian, and Regency era (I have to be obsessed with one thing or another) again. But it is worst than last time. Last time I hid out in the library and read everything I could (I think I was about 18), now I'm buying them.

It starts with Jane Austen (where it always starts), and Georgiana the Duchess of Devonshire; these two women own my life right now. I'm currently reading 3 books; a Jane Austen Bio, a Georgiana DDss Bio, and Jane Austen's Persuasion. But it's the Georgiana Bio that I can't put down. I recently bought her book 'The Sylph' which I will be reading when these 3 are finished.

I'll post my current to-read list soon, but for now I have an assignment to finish ~sigh
